County Streaming Live Video of the Mendocino Complex Fires

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. (July 28, 2018) – On Saturday afternoon, July 28, the County of Lake began streaming live video footage of the Mendocino Complex Fires (Ranch, River) on Facebook.  The video feed is from a camera positioned on Mount Konocti’s Buckingham Peak.

“Many Lake County residents are monitoring the status of the fires very closely,” acknowledges County Administrative Officer, Carol J. Huchingson.  “This footage offers a real time view, and we want the public to have access to this resource.”

Even community members without a Facebook account can view the streaming video.  Go to http://www.facebook.com/lakecountyca.gov/.

The County of Lake encourages all individuals to continue to prioritize monitoring official reports from our first responders, those provided by CALFIRE and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.  Any and all evacuation notices and other critical information will be issued through those channels.
