The County of Lake's parks, of which there are nearly 30, offer a vast array of scenery and activities. Playgrounds, ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming, fishing, hiking, skatepark, boat launches, horseshoes, cornhole, and much more!

Emergency Drought Conditions

On May 11th, 2021 the Lake County Board of Supervisors proclaimed a local emergency due to drought conditions. This declaration included consideration of water levels on Clear Lake that are rendering many boat ramps unsafe for use. Boat ramps under the management of Lake County Parks and Recreation will be monitored for capacity and the status of any closed boat ramps will be posted here.

Lucerne Harbor Park: On May 28th, 2021 the boat ramp at Lucerne Harbor Park was closed due to unsafe conditions after consultation between the Lake County Sheriff Marine Patrol, Lake County Water Resources, and Lake County Public Services. Alternative free public boat launch facilities include the Clearlake Oaks boat launch facility at 12684 Island Drive in Clearlake Oaks, and Library Park at 200 Park Street in Lakeport.

Keeling Park: On June 2nd, 2021 the boat ramp at Keeling Park in the town of Nice was closed due to unsafe conditions after consultation between the Lake County Sheriff Marine Patrol, Lake County Water Resources, and Lake County Public Services. Alternative free public boat launch facilities include the Clearlake Oaks boat launch facility at 12684 Island Drive in Clearlake Oaks, and Library Park at 200 Park Street in Lakeport.
