In-Person. Join the Library Creative Club for an all ages sensory writing workshop! We will explore different tools for writing including natural inks, paints, and more. Inspired by the poem Ink-Light featured in the book in which Natalie Diaz writes, “Four strokes of dusk. Carbon black, Lamp black, Bone black, Hide glue—: I am the alchemist of ink. She answers me, Quicksilver.”

The free Makerspace Lab is open to all on the fourth Saturday of each month. Come on down and use any of the Makerspace supplies and tools.

Join Lake County's Poet Laureate Georgina Marie Guardado for a poetry reading featuring California's new State Poet Laureate Lee Herrick, Ukiah Poet Laureate Emerita Linda Noel, Alameda Poet Laureate Kimi Sugioka and Ukiah Poet Laureate Emeritus Jabez Churchill for a reading of original work and select poems by Natalie Diaz.

"Life in the Past Lane” a free genealogy class, will meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturday afternoons at the Lakeport Library. The class is conducted by the Lake County Genealogical Society (LCGS), is free and open to anyone interested in pursuing family history. Rose Davidson, president of the LCGS, will lead the class, which will explore an array of genealogy topics through class discussions, presentations, lessons and online webinars.
